SURPRISING  THINGS  YOU  SHOULD  KNOW  ABOUT  GOD

The Trinity Triangle

The doctrine of the Trinity is more clearly defined in the New Testament than in the Old. Several times the three persons of the Trinity are shown together and seemingly are equal to one another. At the baptism of Jesus, the Spirit descended on him and a voice from God out of heaven identified Jesus as his beloved Son (Matt. 3:16-17). Jesus prayed that the Father would send another Comforter (John 14:16). The disciples were told to baptize in the name (singular) of the Father, Son, and the Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:19). The three persons of the Trinity are also associated together in their work (1 Cor. 12:4-6; Eph. 1:3-14; 1 Peter 1:2; 3:18; Rev. 1:4-6).

[I  WAS  RAISED  IN  A  CHURCH  OF  ENGLAND  (ANGLICAN)  SCHOOL.  IT  WAS  CALLED  “HOLY  TRINITY  SCHOOL.”  SO  I  HEARD  ABOUT  A  “TRINITY”  OF  GOD  FROM  AGE  7.  I  WAS  NEVER  TOLD  EXACTLY  WHAT  THAT  WAS  SUPPOSED  TO  MEAN.  WE  HAD  BIBLE  EVERY  SCHOOL  DAY  FOR  THE  FIRST  HALF  HOUR.  I  WAS  ALSO  READING  THE  BIBLE  FOR  MYSELF  AT  HOME.  I  WAS  ALSO  ATTENDING  A  LOCAL  SUNDAY  SCHOOL  CHURCH.  I  COULD  SEE  VERY  CLEARLY  THERE  WAS  GOD  THE  FATHER,  GOD  THE  SON  OR  JESUS  CHRIST,  AND  THERE  WAS  A  HOLY  SPIRIT.  BUT  IN  ALL  THAT  READING  I  NEVER  EVER  THOUGHT  OF  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  AS  A  SEPARATE  INDIVIDUAL  PERSON  IN  HEAVEN  SITTING  ALONGSIDE  THE  FATHER  AND  SON.  I  HAD  ALSO  READ  THE  ACCOUNTS  OF  VISIONS  OF  HEAVEN,  AND  THERE  WAS  NEVER  A  THIRD  INDIVIDUAL  PERSON  IN  THEM  AS  GOD  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT.  OF  COURSE  THERE  IS  A  HOLY  SPIRIT  THAT  WORKS  WITH  THE  FATHER  AND  SON,  OR  THAT  THE  FATHER  AND  SON  USE  TO  DO  THEIR  WORK  ON  THE  EARTH  AND  IN  THE  UNIVERSE;  I  ALWAYS  THOUGHT  OF  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  AS  A  POWER  COMING  OUT  OF  THE  FATHER  AND  SON,  WHICH  COULD  BE  ANYWHERE  IN  THE  UNIVERSE,  AND  INSIDE  PEOPLE;  I  MEAN  HOW  DO  YOU  GET  A  GOD  BEING  WITH  FORM  AND  SHAPE  TO  BE  EVERYWHERE  AT  THE  SAME  TIME,  AND  INSIDE  PEOPLE  EVERYWHERE  ON  EARTH  WHO  ARE  TRUE  CHILDREN  OF  GOD.  I  WAS  19  WHEN  I  WAS  TOLD  IN  A  BAPTIST  CHURCH  THAT  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  WAS  A  LITERAL  PERSONAL  BEING  ALONG  WITH  THE  FATHER  AND  SON——  I  LITERALLY  LAUGHED  AT  THE  BAPTIST  MINISTER;  I  COULD  NOT  BELIEVE  HE  WAS  BEING  SERIOUS.  AND  I  LAUGHED  MORE  WHEN  I  FOUND  OTHER  PEOPLE  BELIEVED  GOD  WAS  A  KIND  OF  “BLOB”  THAT  COULD  BE  THE  FATHER,  OR  SON,  OR  HOLY  SPIRIT,  INDIVIDUALLY  OR  ALL  AT  THE  SAME  TIME,  THEN  RETURN  TO  BEING  ONE  BIG  BLOB  OF  SOME  KIND,  AND  SURE  ENOUGH  THOSE  PEOPLE  SAID  YOU  COULD  NOT  REALLY  UNDERSTAND  THE  TRINITY  SO  DO  NOT  TRY.  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  BEING  CALLED  “HE”  AND  THE  LIKE  NEVER  BOTHERED  ME  EITHER  AS  A  KID,  WE  OFTEN  IN  OUR  LANGUAGE  CALL  CARS,  OR  BOATS,  AS  IF  HUMAN,  LIKE,  “WELL  OLD  BETTSY  THE  CAR  WENT  ALONG  JUST  FINE  ON  THIS  JOURNEY  OUT  TO  VISIT  YOU.”

THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  TO  ME  AS  A  KID  AND  STILL  TO  THIS  DAY,  WAS  THE  VERY  NATURE  AND  POWER  OF  GOD,  COMING  FROM  THE  VERY  BODY  OF  THE  FATHER  AND  THE  SON.  IT  IS  AN  INVISIBLE  POWER  SOMETIMES  MAKING  MANIFEST  AT  TIMES  WITH  LOOKING  LIKE  PHYSICAL  THINGS  LIKE  A  DOVE,  AND  HOW  IT  LOOK  ON  THE  DAY  OF  PENTECOST  IN  ACTS  2.

BUT  I  STILL  LAUGH  AT  THE  IDEA  A  THIRD  LITERAL  PERSON  IN  HEAVEN  COULD  BE  EVERYWHERE  IN  THE  UNIVERSE  AT  THE  SAME  TIME,  OR  INSIDE  EVERY  CHRISTIAN  AROUND  THE  WORLD.

AND  READING  THE  NEW  TESTAMENT  AS  A  KID  I  SAW  THE  FATHER  GOD  WAS  THE  FATHER  OF  JESUS.  AND  IT  ALSO  SAID  MARY  WAS  HAVING  A  CHILD  OF  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT;  BUT  I  NEVER  THOUGHT  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  WAS  THEN  THE  FATHER  OF  CHRIST;  JESUS  MADE  IT  CLEAR  THE  FATHER  OF  HIMSELF  WAS  GOD  THE  FATHER.  IF  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  IS  A  SEPARATE  PERSON  FROM  THE  FATHER,  THEN  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  IS  THE  FATHER  OF  JESUS  AND  NOT  GOD  THE  FATHER.  THEN  AGAIN  THE  “TRINITY”  TEACHERS  WILL  SAY  IT’S  JUST  NOT  UNDERSTANDABLE…. THE  TRINITY,  SO  DO  NOT  TRY  TO  UNDERSTAND  IT.  BUT  YOU  SEE  I  DID  NOT  KNOW  ALL  THIS  THAT  PEOPLE  SAID  ABOUT  THE  SO-CALLED  TRINITY,  SO  I  DID  UNDERSTAND  FROM  A  CHILD  THE  TRUTH  ABOUT  THE  GODHEAD—— THERE  ARE  TWO  LITERAL  PERSONAL  BEINGS  IN  HEAVEN  CALLED  GOD——  THE  FATHER  AND  THE  SON—- ONE  GOD  BUT  TWO  INDIVIDUALS.  IN  GOD’S  WORLD  TWO  CAN  BE  ONE,  AS  IN  MARRIAGE  GOD  BROUGHT  TWO  PERSONS  TOGETHER  AND  SAID  THEY  WOULD  BE  ONE  -  GOD’S  ARITHMETIC  IS  NOT  AWAYS  OUR  ARITHMETIC :-)  -  Keith Hunt]

The fact of the Trinity is taught in the Old Testament. The very name for God is Elohim—a plural word. Plural pronouns were often used for God (see Gen. 1:26), and even the Hebrew word used to refer to "one God" was the word echad, which connotes a compound unity. There are also references to both "the Son" and "the Spirit of God" throughout the Old Testament, clearly referring to the Trinity.

[SURE  THERE  IS  A  PLURALITY  WITH  GOD  -  TWO  IS  PLURAL,  RIGHT!  OF  COURSE  THERE  IS  A  SPIRIT  OF  GOD  IN  THE  OLD  TESTAMENT  AS  IN  THE  NEW  TESTAMENT.  BUT  THAT  DOES  NOT  PROVE  THAT  “SPIRIT”  IS  A  PERSON  WITH  FORM  AND  SHAPE  SITTING  UP  IN  HEAVEN  WITH  THE  SON  AND  FATHER.  AND  BY  THE  WAY….. THE  WORD  “SPIRIT”  IN  THE  OLD  TESTAMENT  IS  IN  THE  FEMININE  GENDER,  THE  FEMALE  GENTER—— SO  THAT  THEN  COULD  PROVE  (TO  SOME  IT  DOES  AND  THEY  MAKE   A  DOCTRINE  OUT  OF  IT)  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  IS  A  FEMALE!  NOPE  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  IS  NOT  A  WOMAN,  AND  OR  A  SEPARATE  PERSON  FROM  THE  FATHER  AND  SON  -  Keith Hunt]

The Trinity of God. Though the term trinity does not occur in the Bible, it had very early usage in the church. Its Greek form, trias, seems to have been first used by Theophilus of Antioch (A.D. 181), and its Latin form, trinitas, by Tertullian (A.D. 220). In Christian theology, the term Trinity means that there are three eternal distinctions in the one divine essence, known respectively as Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. These three distinctions are three persons, and one may speak of the tri-personality of God. The doctrine of the Trinity is a great mystery. However, it was not birthed by speculation, but was given as revelation in Scripture.

[OH  HERE  WE  GO….. GREAT  MYSTERY!  BUT  THE  SCRIPTURES  ARE  SUPPOSED  TO  BACK  IT  UP  THAT  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  IS  A  PERSON  SEPARATE  FROM  THE  FATHER  AND  SON——  ALL  GOOBIDIGOO  NONSENSE.  WHAT  CERTAIN  MEN  IN  THE  SECOND  CENTURY  AND  AFTER  TAUGHT,  MEANS  DIDDLY-GOOP  NOTHING!  THE  CHURCH  OF  GOD  WAS  IN  THE  DAYS  OF  THE  FIRST  APOSTLES  ALREADY  BEING  INFILTRATED  BY  FALSE  TEACHERS,  JUST  READ  THE  BOOK  OF  JUDE,  TITUS  AND  1, 2, 3,  JOHN,  TO  SEE  THAT  TRUTH  -  Keith Hunt]

"You deserted the Rock, who fathered you; you forgot the God who gave you birth" (Deut. 32:18). Not only is God the father of Jesus Christ, God is our father and our creator.

[BUT  THE  ANGEL  SAID  TO  MARY,  “THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  SHALL  COME  UPON  YOU,  AND  THE  POWER   OF  THE  HIGHEST  SHALL OVERSHADOW  YOU….. BORN  OF  YOU  SHALL  BE  CALLED  THE  SON  OF  GOD” LUKE 1:35.  SO  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  AS  A  PERSON,  CALLED  ALSO  GOD,  IS  THEN  THE  FATHER  OF  JESUS  AND  NOT  GOD  THE  FATHER,  SO  JESUS  PRAYED  TO  THE  WRONG  FATHER——  NOT  SO,  BUT  THE  TRINITY  TEACHING  WOULD  BRING  US  TO  THIS  CONCLUSION  -  Keith Hunt]

“Jesus said, ‘Do not hold on to me, for I have not yet returned to the Father. Go instead to my brothers and tell them, I am returning to my Father and your Father, to my God and your God’” (John 20:17). After Christ's resurrection, he appeared to Mary Magdalene. His instructions to her demonstrate God is fully heavenly Father and God to both himself and to all who believe.

[OKAY  NO  PROBLEM….. WHAT  HAS  THIS  TO  DO  WITH  A  PERSON  CALLED  “THE  HOLY  SPIRIT”?  -  Keith Hunt]

"For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace" (Isa. 9:6). The prophet Isaiah's words remained a testimony to God's people of the promised Messiah throughout many generations. That the people believed a Messiah would come is unquestionable. However, they were looking for an earthly king who would bring Israel to great heights rather than a Savior who would redeem the world and be their heavenly King first.

[OKAY  NO  PROBLEM….. WHAT  HAS  THIS  TO  DO  WITH  PROVING  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  IS  A  SEPARATE  INDIVIDUAL  PERSON  IN  HEAVEN?  -  Keith Hunt]

"As Jesus was coming up out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven: 'You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased'" (Mark 1:10-11). God himself, visible through the person of the Holy Spirit, spoke to Jesus as John the Baptist baptized Jesus in the Jordan River.

[SO  THE  INDIVIDUAL  THIRD  PERSON  WITH  FORM  AND  SHAPE,  IN  HEAVEN,  DECIDED  TO  COME  AS  A  DOVE?  THEN  HAS  A  MOUTH  TO  SPEAK  WITH.  GIVE  ME  A  BREAK!  IT  WAS  THE  SPIRIT  NATURE  OR  POWER  OF  GOD  THE  FATHER  IN  HEAVEN  THAT  CAME  LOOKING  LIKE  A  DOVE;  IT  WAS  GOD  THE  FATHER  SPEAKING,  AS  THE  FATHER  WAS  THE  FATHER  OF  JESUS,  NOT  SOME  OTHER  INDIVIDUAL  IN  THE  GODHEAD  -  Keith Hunt]

"Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters" (Gen. 1:2). The Spirit was present at the creation of the world and remains just as present today.

[OKAY  NO  PROBLEM….. WHAT  HAS  THAT  GOT  TO  DO  WITH  PROVING  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  IS  A  SEPARATE  PERSONAL  BEING  WITH  FORM  AND  SHAPE,  SEPARATE  FROM  THE  FATHER  AND  SON?  -  Keith Hunt]

"But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth" (Acts 1:8). Jesus made this promise to his disciples before ascending into heaven. The Book of Acts studies the early church; chapter 2 tells of the Holy Spirit's coming at Pentecost.

[OKAY  NO  PROBLEM…. NEVER  SAW  IT  AS  A  PROBLEM  WHEN  I  WAS  A  KID,  NO  PROBLEM  FOR  ME  TODAY.  WHAT  HAS  THIS  GOT  TO  DO  WITH  PROVING  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  IS  A  SEPARATE  INDIVIDUAL  PERSON,  SITTING  IN  HEAVEN  APART  FROM  THE  FATHER  AND  SON?  -  Keith Hunt]

Trinitarian belief as expressed by the Athanasian Creed.

"We worship one God in the Trinity, and the Trinity in unity; we distinguish among the persons, but we do not divide the substance." It goes on to say, "The entire three persons are co-eternal and coequal with one another. ..." "The heart of Christian faith in God is the revealed mystery of the Trinity. Trinitas is a Latin word meaning three-ness. Christianity rests on the doctrinal truths of the trinitas, the tri-personality, of God. Each person in the Godhead played not only a significant role in our creation but also our redemption."—J. I. Packer

[WORDS  OF  MEN  AS  THEY  FORMED  THIS  DOCTRINE….. WHAT  HAS  THE  WORDS  OF  MEN  GOT  TO  DO  WITH  PROVING  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  IS  A  SEPARATE  INDIVIDUAL  PERSON  SITTING  IN  HEAVEN  WITH  THE  FATHER  AND  SON?  -  Keith Hunt]

Perfect harmony. The persons of the Godhead relate one to another in perfect harmony and intimacy—a perfect society. One theologian explains, "If there were no trinity, there could be no incarnation, no objective redemption, and therefore no salvation; for there would be no one capable of acting as mediator between God and man." The Trinity allows for eternal love. Love was before creation, yet love needs an object. Love is always flowing among the persons of the Trinity.

[WORDS  OF  MEN,  THAT  ARE  SILLY  NONSENSE.  THERE  IS  A  FATHER  AND  A  SON,  AND  A  HOLY  SPIRIT.  WHAT  HAVE  THESE  WORDS  OF  MEN  GOT  ANYTHING  TO  DO  WITH  PROVING  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  IS  AN  INDIVIDUAL  SEPARATE  PERSON  FROM  THE  FATHER  AND  SON,  SITTING  AROUND  A  THRONE  IN  HEAVEN,  AND  JUST  AS  VISIBLE  AS  THE  FATHER  AND  SON,  IF  WE  COULD  SEE  THEM?  FURTHER  THE  IDEA  OF  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  AS  A  PERSON  SEPARATE  FROM  FATHER  AND  SON,  INTERCEDING  FOR  US….. THAT  IS  STUPID  CRAZY  PLANET  PLUTO  THEOLOGY—— SEE  2  TIMOTHY 2: 4-6  TO  BLOW  THAT  IDEDA  OF  MEN  INTO  A   MILLION  PIECES.  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  DID  NOT  BECOME  HUMAN;  DID  NOT  OVERCOME  GOD  IN  THE  FLESH;  DID  NOT  DIE  ON  THE  CROSS;  WAS  NOT  RESURRECTED  TO  IMMORTAL  ETERNAL  LIFE.  IF  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  WAS  INDEED  A  LITERAL  INDIVIDUAL  BEING  IN  HEAVEN,  HE  STILL  COULD  NOT  BE  OUR  INTERCESSOR.  FOR  THE  REASONS  JUST  GIVE,  IT  COULD  ONLY  BE  JESUS  THE  CHRIST  AS  OUR  INTERCESSOR  BETWEEN  US  AND  THE  FATHER  -  EXACTLY  AS   PAUL  TAUGHT  TO  TIMOTHY  -  OH  IF  PEOPLE  WOULD  ONLY  READ  ALL  THE  BIBLE,  OR  BE  CORRECTED  WHEN  A  VERSE  BLOWS  AWAY  THEIR  IDEA  -  Keith Hunt]

The three persons of the Trinity act in cooperation with one another. No one person in the Godhead acts free of the connection of the other two. They are anchored—the Spirit and Son do not act in opposition to the Father. Were they to do so, we could not speak of the Trinity as "one God, with three distinct persons."

[OF  COURSE  THE  FATHER  AND  SON  ARE  ONE  IN  EVERY  WAY,  BUT  AUTHORITY,  AS  JESUS  SAID,  “THE  FATHER….  IS  GREATER  THAN  ALL…”  -  GREATER  IN  AUTHORITY;  AND  “I  AND  MY  FATHER  ARE  ONE”  JOHN 10:29-30.  YES  THEY  ARE  ONE  IN  EVERY  WAY  BUT  AUTHORITY.  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  IS  THE  POWER  NATURE  THAT  COMES  FROM  BOTH  OF  THEM,  FROM  THEIR  VERY  MIND  AND  SPIRIT.  AS  JESUS  SAID,  “GOD  IS  SPRIT” - (THE  WORD “A” IS  NOT  IN  THE  GREEK)  -  JOHN 4: 24.  AS  GOD  IS  HOLY  SO  HIS  POWER  OF  NATURE  COMING  FROM  HIM  IS  THE  “HOLY  SPIRIT”  WHICH  CAN  BE  ANYWHERE  IN  THE  UNIVERSE  AT  THE  SAME  TIME;  WHICH  IS  IN  EVERY  TRUE  CHILD  OF  GOD  ANYWHERE  ON  EARTH  -  Keith Hunt]

The Father is ‘the God of Peace’ the Son is ‘our Peace,’ and the Holy Spirit is ‘the Spirit of Peace’ and produces ‘the fruit of. . . peace.’ Peace expresses the deepest desire and need of the human heart. It represents the greatest measure of contentment and satisfaction in life.

[OKAY  NO  PROBLEM….. BUT  WHERE  DOES  THIS  PROVE  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  IS  A  SEPARATE  PERSONAL  INDIVIDUAL  FROM  THE  FATHER  AND  SON?  -  Keith Hunt]

There are seven different views on the makeup of the Trinity in regards to subordination and equality between the three distinct persons of the Godhead. Some of these views place more emphasis on power and "line of command" than others; all respect and revere the Trinity as biblical and historically faithful to the beliefs of the church.

The first model posits both the Son and the Spirit proceeding from the Father. The Son and Spirit are on the same level yet independent of one another. The Father is the source of the latter two, yet all three are equally God.

[THIS  IS  THE  THREE  SEPARATE  INDIVIDUALS  IN  HEAVEN  IDEA  -  VERY  WRONG  -  Keith Hun t]

Another model states that the Father again is the beginning point from which the Son proceeds. The Spirit, however, proceeds from both the Father and the Son. The Spirit does not have any impact, in essence, on the other two.

[THE  SPIRIT  DOES  COME  FROM  BOTH  THE  FATHER  AND  THE  SON  -  HAS  NO  IMPACT,  WELL  TRUE  IN  THE  SENSE  IT  CANNOT  AS  IT  IS  THE  VERY  NATURE  POWER  THAT  COMES  FROM  BOTH  THE  FATHER  AND  SON;  IT  HAS  NO  SEPARATE  INFLUENCE  AS  IT  IS  NOT  A  SEPARATE  PERSON  -  Keith Hunt]

A third model places the Father and the Son on an equal plane, making them equal in glory. However, the Spirit proceeds from the two at a lower level, acting as a mediator between the divine Father and Son and the earthly world below.

[VERY  WRONG,  THE  SPIRIT  CANNOT  BE  AN  INTERCESSOR  FOR  EARTHLY  WORLD  BELOW  AS  I’VE  SHOWN  ABOVE  AND  AS  PAUL  MADE  PLAIN  TO  TIMOTHY  AND  TO  US  -  Keith Hunt]

Another model shows less of a triangle effect and instead posits that all things originate with the Father, are then passed to the Son, and then through the Son to the Holy Spirit. The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are all on the same plane of deity, but all things originate with the Father. This view is deeply rooted in both the Eastern and Western churches.

[ALL  DOES  COME  FROM  THE  FATHER;  HE  IS  THE  GREATEST  IN  AUTHORITY;  THE  SON  HAS  ALL  THAT  THE  FATHER  HAS  EXECPT  THE  FATHER  HAS  GREATER  AUTHORITY.  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  IS  THEIR  POWER  OF  NATURE  THAT  GOES  OUT  FROM  THEM  LIKE  INVISIBLE  ELECTRICITY  POWER  TO  ALL  THE  UNIVERSE,  AND  AS  THEY  DESIRE  TO  USE  IT  -  Keith Hunt]

The fifth model comes from a more mystical view within the church. The Father is the head, and the rest—the Son, Spirit, and the world—emanate from him. However, the model also holds a place for a return to the Father. It is believed that the Spirit prepares the world for the Son, and the Son (along with the Holy Spirit) leads us back to the Father. This model definitely loses the equality of all three persons within the Godhead.

[WELL  SEEING  THE  WORD  “MYSTICAL”  PUTS  AN  END  TO  THAT  MYSTERY  NONSENSE  AS  A  FAR  OUT  PLANET  PLUTO  THEOLOGY  -  Keith Hunt]

Augustine's model represents a much more fluid relationship between the three persons of the Godhead. The Father, Son, and Spirit are all on the same level (negating a triangle view such as models one and two), but the Spirit is actually in between the Father and the Son. The Spirit proceeds from the Father and the Son.

[WELL  CERTAINLY  AGREE  THE  SPIRIT  COMES  FROM  THE  FATHER  AND  SON  -  Keith Hunt]

David N. Bell suggests the relationship is similar to that of the workings of an electric battery where the Father is the "positive" and the Son is the "negative"—the Spirit is "the current flowing and flashing between them."

[THIS  IS  GETTING  TO  MORE  THE  TRUTH  OF  THE  MATTER.  THE  FATHER  AND  SON  HAVE  AN  INVISIBLE  CURRENT  FLOWING  FROM THEM  INTO  ALL  THE  UNIVERSE  AND  INTO  EVERY  CHILD  OF  THE  FATHER  -  Keith Hunt]

He goes on to explain that there is only one substance, one current, but the battery will not function without both the positive and negative ends as well as a route for the current between them. A weakness of this view is that it tends to put the Spirit in a subordinate role as a conduit of the currents flowing from Father to Son and vice versa.

[YA  IT  CORRECTLY  PUTS  THE  PICTURE  WHERE  IT  SHOULD  BE—— BOTH  THE  FATHER  AND  SON  EMIT  A  POWER  FROM  THEIR  VERY  NATURE  THAT  GOES  OUT  INVISIBLY  TO  THE  UNIVERSE,  AND  TO  WHATEVER THE FATHER AND SON WANT  TO  DO  OR  COMMUNICATE  WITH  THE  CHILDREN  OF  GOD  THE  FATHER,  OR/AND  WORK  THROUGH  THEM  ANY  MIRACLES,  MESSAGES  ETC.  -  Keith Hunt]

The seventh and final model takes more of a give-and-take approach between the three persons. Father, Son, and Spirit are points on a circle with no end and no beginning. As the Father influences the Son, the Son influences the Spirit, and the Spirit influences the Father. It is less a picture of two or one being subordinate to the other and more a picture of interdependence between all three. Though the Father might be the starting point from which the Son and Spirit proceed, the Son and Spirit proceed to the Father with their own response.

[WELL  AT  LEAST  THE  AUTHORS  SEEM  TO  AGREE  THE  FATHER  IS  THE  SUPREME  BEING;  BUT  AS  I’VE  SAID,  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  IS  NOT  A  PERSON OR  INDIVIDUAL  BEING  SEPARATE  FROM  THE  FATHER  AND  SON  -  Keith Hunt]

Various analogies have been made in order to explain the mystery of the Trinity.

Augustine proposed that the three persons may be likened to "proposed lover, beloved, and love itself." Another is that of the components of an apple: the core, flesh, and peel representing God, the Son, and the Holy Spirit as the "visible," "tangible" peel that wraps the flesh of the Son and the core of the Father into one thing, an apple.

[ALL  SILLY  PLUTO  IDEAS….KINDA  ONE  BLOB  BEING  THREE…. YA  A  SILLY  MYSTERY  THEY  CANNOT  MAKE  BUT  MAKE  AS  THEY  SAY  “A  MYSTERY”  -  Keith Hunt]

Tertullian and Anselm, both church fathers, had views with a more subordinationist approach. Tertullian likened the persons of the Trinity to the root, tree, and fruit. Anselm offered a picture of a spring, stream, and lake to demonstrate how the Trinity flowed and existed.

[ALL  SILLY  AND  NON-SCRIPTURAL  -  Keith Hunt]

Others prefer to speak of the Trinity in more equal terms. For example, one space with three dimensions: height, length, and depth. Or the three phases of matter: solid, liquid, and gas. All may exist at the same time, with the temperature being the determining factor.

[AGAIN  SILLY  PLANET  PLUTO  IDEAS  OF  THE  BLINDED  MINDS  OF  MEN  -  Keith Hunt]

The Nicene Creed is a statement of the orthodox faith of the early Christian church. Written in response to heresies that included the doctrine of the Trinity, among others, its words remain a testimony of the church's belief in this respect. The creed was used by both Western and Eastern churches, although the Western church insisted on the inclusion of the phrase "and the Son" (known as the Filioque) in the article on the procession of the Holy Spirit. The Eastern church remains steadfast in leaving this phrase out. The creed covers the three persons of the Trinity separately.

[THEY  HAVE  THIS  CORRECT  AS  IN  IT  PROCEEDS  FROM  THE  FATHER  AND  SON,  BUT  IT  IS  NOT  WORSHIPPED  AS  IS  THE  FATHER  AND  SON,  FOR  IT  IS  NOT  A  SEPARATE  INDIVIDUAL  PERSON  SITTING  IN  HEAVEN  NEXT  TO  THE  FATHER  AND  SON  -  Keith Hunt]

Denial of the Trinity leads to dangerous theology. Without a view of an active, dynamic God who performs as the Trinity does, it's easy to fall into heresy—deism, pantheism, and agnosticism to name a few. Deism views God as one who is unattached and uninvolved, a God who put the world in motion but doesn't monitor it. Pantheism believes God is inseparable from the world, and many parts of the world are worshiped as God. In agnosticism, God cannot be known—he is a mystery that is impossible to even know. When the Trinity is denied, often Christ's deity is questioned, and the story of the Bible, God's Word, is in effect lost.

[I  DENY  THE  TRINITY  AS  TAUGHT  BY  CATHOLICS  AND  PROTESTANT;  NEVER  DID  BELIEVE  WHAT  THEY  TAUGHT  ON  THAT  DOCTRINE.  IT  IS  FALSE  AND  INCORRECT.  AND  THAT  HAS  NEVER  GOT  ME  TO  THINK  OR  DENY  CHRIST  WAS  VERY  GOD,  A  SECOND  MEMBER  IN  THE  GODHEAD.  FROM  AGE  7  AND  ON,  READING  THE  NEW  TESTAMENT  I’VE  ALWAYS  SEEN  GOD  THE  FATHER  AS  THE  SUPREME  BEING  OF  THE  GODHEAD,  TOP  IN  AUTHORITY.  I’VE  ALWAYS  SEEN  JESUS  THE  CHRIST  AS  A  MEMBER  OF  THE  GODHEAD,  HENCE  ALSO  GOD.  I’VE  ALWAYS  SEEN  BOTH  OF  THEM  BEING  ETERNAL  FROM  ETERNITY  TO  ETERNITY.  I’VE  ALWAYS  SEEN  THE  GOD  WHO  BECAME  JESUS  THE  CHRIST,  GIVING  UP  HIS  POSITION  IN   THE  GODHEAD  TO  BECOME  HUMAN  FLESH  AND  BLOOD— GOD  IN  THE  FLESH.  I’VE  ALWAYS  SEEN  THIS  GOD  IN  THE  FLESH  AS  COMING  TO  OVERCOME  SIN,  NEVER  SINNING,  DOING  THE  FATHER’S  WILL,  TEACHING  WHAT  THE  FATHER  TOLD  HIM  TO  SAY  AND  TEACH;  BEING  FAITHFUL  EVEN  UNTO  DEATH  FOR  SINNERS;  HENCE  BEING  THE  SAVIOR  FOR  SINNERS,  BEING  RESURRECTED  BY  THE  FATHER  TO  ETERNAL  LIFE  AGAIN,  BEING  OUR  INTERCESSOR  WITH  THE  FATHER,  SO  HUMANS  CAN  FIND  SALVATION  AND  ETERNAL  LIFE  IN  GLORY  WITH  BOTH  THE  FATHER  AND  SON,  BECOMING  VERY  MEMBERS  OF  THE  FAMILY  OF  GOD.

I’VE  ALWAYS  SEEN  THE  HOLY  SPIRIT  BEING  THE  VERY  POWER  AND  NATURE  OF  BOTH  THE  FATHER  AND  SON,  GOING  FORTH  AS  INVISIBLE  NATURE  FROM  BOTH  OF  THEM,  INTO  THE  UNIVERSE,  AND  INTO  EVERY  TRUE  CHILD  OF  THE  FATHER,  TO  DO  THEIR  WILL  AS  THEY  DIRECT.  THE  SILLY  IDEA  OF  A  THIRD  SEPARATE  INDIVIDUAL  PERSON   WITH  FORM  AND  SHAPE,  COULD  NEVER  BE  EVERYWHERE  IN  THE  UNIVERSE.
